Vancouver here we come

We left Seattle the day before the cruise to take Amtrak to Vancouver. I had always wanted to ride the train along the Washington coast since we used to go to Picnic Point- which is a beach near Edmonds WA. You actually had to walk over the train tracks to get from the parking to the beach. We would look at the trains hugging the coast on thier way north.

Our Vancouver hotel, the Best Western Sands, was across the street from English Bay, it was a great location.

We could walk around the corner to many restaurants, stores, banks and turn a corner and be in a residential area.  It would be a great neighborhood to live in.

From English Bay looking toward our hotel which is right behind the red traffic lights.

We took the Trolley Tour which was fun but not great for taking pictures.  In some areas I just took videos.

We walked across the city and then we ate at Vera's Burger Shack, the food was excellent.  In the evening we walked around the residential areas.

I kept returning to English Bay.  They have 14 eight foot tall Bronze statues of the artist Yue Minjun laughing.  I hope it is a permanent installation.

In the daytime I could not get pictures without people in them.
