The Adventure begins

My husband Michael had years ago visited all 48 Capital cities of the Continental United States.  He wanted someday to visit Alaska and Hawaii, hopefully we will get to Hawaii in 2013.  My best friend got me started on Cruising- something I never had seen myself as doing.  Michael and I went on two short cruises in the last few years and knew we would like to cruise to Alaska.

We prefer not to fly so we made a road trip out of our trip home after the cruise.  On our way up we only took 3 days.  The first night we stayed in Fremont CA so we could visit my daughter and her boyfriend.  The second day we stayed in Medford OR and the third day we were in Seattle which is where we left our car.

This is Mt Shasta in northern California from a viewpoint on the northbound side of I-5.

I love to see Mount Shasta, it is my favorite mountain and the area around it is beautiful.
