Coming in to Juneau
Cute Pirate themed vessel at the Harbor
This replica of the Liberty Bell was made from the same mold. It was smaller than I expected. It sits in front of the State Capital Building
This picture hangs in the Capital Building. It is a Girl Scout Troop in the early 1900's. I was amazed at there being such a big troop in such a remote area and I have never seen Girl Scouts like these! The misty waterfall ain't bad either.
This picture was taken of us by Senator Charlie Huggins!
This is Senator Charlie Huggins presenting us with his Commemorative Mug. See the oval portraits on the mug? The one to the left is Senator Huggins father and the one to the right is his father-in-law. We were wandering the hallways and he came up to us, introduced himself as "Charlie", took pictures OF us, then WITH us, talked to us, showed us around and could not have been any nicer. This being Michaels 49th Capital city it really made his day.
The State Capital is in the left background. This statue is across the street. |
